Legion may not be the newest thing in Path of Exile, but in 3.28 Mirage it's still one of the cleanest ways to make steady currency, and a lot of players are sleeping on that. Most people are copying old setups, getting passable returns, then wondering why the numbers feel flat. The truth is the market changed, and Legion changed with it. If you build around the current economy instead of old habits, the profit jumps fast. If you want to get rolling without spending days scraping together your first investment, a safe POE 1 currency shop can help you skip the slow part and move straight into maps that actually pay.
Why map choice matters so muchThe map itself does more work than people think. Legion rewards space. That's the whole point. When the monolith appears, you've only got so much room and so much time to break out as many enemies as possible. On cramped layouts, mobs get stuck behind corners, walls, side rooms, all that annoying stuff. You lose value before the fight even starts. On open maps, though, you can sweep in a wide arc, tag far more targets, and turn one encounter into a proper loot burst. You'll notice the difference almost straight away. It's not subtle. That's why picking a layout just because it's popular is a mistake. Pick one because Legion actually functions well there.
Atlas setup and scarabsA lot of players overfocus on forcing more mechanics onto the map and forget to improve the drops that matter. For Legion, that's backwards. You want Atlas points that raise splinter output and make incubators more worthwhile, because those are the pieces that keep your income stable. More monoliths are great, sure, but only if each one is worth running. The same idea applies to scarabs. In Mirage, Legion scarabs have held up surprisingly well because they feed directly into that loop. Extra monoliths, more frozen enemies, more rewards once everything breaks loose. It sounds obvious, but loads of people still cheap out here, then wonder why the farm feels average.
Speed is basically part of your incomeThis is the bit some players don't want to hear. If your build is slow, your returns are worse. Simple as that. Legion isn't a mechanic that waits for you to get comfortable. You need movement speed, fast coverage, and enough damage to wipe the screen the second the timer ends. If your character lumbers across the map, you'll miss targets during the stasis phase and leave loot behind every single map. Over time that adds up in a big way. I've seen two players run nearly the same setup, and the faster one ends up miles ahead just because they keep the rhythm clean: enter, pop the monolith, break as much as possible, clear, leave, repeat.
What the farm actually feels like in practiceOnce it's tuned properly, Legion farming has a very steady feel to it. You're not sitting there praying for one jackpot drop to save the session. You're stacking splinters, emblems, incubators, and all the small pieces that keep converting into real currency over time. That's why it still works. Even across a longer session with no absurd luck, the returns stay respectable if your maps, tree, scarabs, and build all line up. For players who'd rather skip the early league grind and get straight into efficient farming, U4GM is a name people know for buying game currency and items quickly, which makes it easier to set up the strategy and stay focused on the part that actually makes the league fun.
